MEET THE HEART & Soul BEHIND THE LENS

I'm Jennifer, your new bestie when it comes to all things LOVE!

Your love story deserves to be told, whether you boast 1 year together or 50! I'm here to do just that by freezing those genuine, joyous, and intimate moments that make your connection so special. I'm obsessed with every couple I get the chance to work with, & I'm not afraid to tell you that during our session with lots of "yesss queen"s and "stoppp that's so cute"s.

More About Me

Couples photography is about more than just photos

I'm not just here to take pictures; I'm here to create memories that will last a lifetime! My #1 goal is to make you feel comfortable, confident, and most importantly, to have FUN during our sessions. Let's create an experience that's as enjoyable as it is unforgettable!

Your love is so special - and deserves beautiful photos to reflect it.

Each couple that I work with is unique and incredible in their own way. One of my favorite parts of being a couples photographer is getting to witness the subtle relationship dynamics hidden behind every glance, smile, and laugh. I love investing time in getting to know you and your partner, and learning what's important to you.

Mini & Ben

I cannot gush more about Jen! I am sooo happy I found her on Instagram. She shot our very small wedding last week and turned around photos today. She was everything we wanted in a photographer - respectful of culture, extremely accommodating, so easy to get along with, goes with the flow, takes freaking amazing shots, gives good direction, is the best hype girl, etc. She truly cares about her work and is such a talent. Watch this girl bc she is a star in the making. I've recommended all my friends to her!

FAQ

How do I book you?

Click on the "Contact" page of this website to fill out a quick form and inquire with me! This will tell me the type of photo shoot you're interested in, and give you a chance to tell me a little more about what you're looking for. You can expect to receive an email back from me within 24 hours of filling out the form. Once we chat more and figure out all of the details including the date, location, and timing of the session, I simply require a 20% retainer and signed contract to officially book me!

Do you take on other types of sessions besides couples?

I do! I really love doing all kinds of photography, so while I specialize in couples photos I still take on a limited amount of family, newborn, graduation, senior, and creative portraits.

How do I know which wedding package is right for me?

My Diamond wedding package is what I always recommend to clients! It includes full wedding day coverage by me for 8-10 hours, and a second photographer for up to 8 hours. This second photographer is key to why I really recommend this package - having a 2nd is so beneficial in saving time, the most valuable asset of a wedding day. During the getting ready portion of the day, the lead photographer is able to stay getting coverage of one partner, while the 2nd photographer takes photos with the other. Or take for instance the ceremony. Getting photos of the walking down the aisle moment is equally as important as capturing their partner's reaction to it. Having a 2nd photographer there allows each photographer to be focused solely on one person, instead of me having to capture both moments which happen simultaneously. Overall, the second photographer helps for getting maximum coverage, saving time, and in cases of emergencies.

My Gold wedding package is another great option. It includes full wedding day coverage by me for 8-10 hours. While it's always nice to have a 2nd photographer, sometimes it's not in the budget and that's okay! I've photographed plenty of weddings by myself and have always managed to "get the shots". Going back to the ceremony example described above, if I'm by myself I'll typically try to position myself at the front of the aisle where I can first capture the groom's initial reaction, then pivot to focus on capturing the partner walking down the aisle. While there is more risk involved in missing a moment, you can see that it is doable.

My Silver wedding package includes partial wedding day coverage by me for up to 6 hours. If you're on a tighter budget, this might be the package for you. To compensate for less hours of coverage, people usually shave off a little bit of time in the very beginning (getting ready portion of the day) and at the end (open dancing/ some reception moments). It all depends on what moments you care about capturing the most!

How do I know which session package is right for me?

My 1 hour "Gold" package is the standard amount of time for a session. It gives us plenty of time to get a variety of poses and backdrops. More than that, it's also enough time for you to get comfortable in front of the camera, but not too much time that you lose energy and your smile becomes strained.

My 2 hour "Diamond" package is perfect if you're looking for a little extra. If you want to take pictures at multiple locations and have a few outfit changes, this is the package for you! It's a fun, luxurious experience that allows us more time to get creative with the photos.

My 30 minute "Silver" package is good if you're on a bit of a tighter budget, or only want a few amazing photos. Since we have a much more limited time, I like to work quickly and efficiently to still get you the most variety as possible. There is also not enough time for outfit or location changes unfortunately. It's a more rushed experience, but still a great one!

Do you recommend any locations?

Absolutely! Being an experienced photographer and Bay Area native means I know about all of the popular and the secret photoshoot spots. Upon booking with me, you'll gain access to my exclusive Location Guide. This features 20+ of my favorite places to go for photoshoots all around the San Francisco Bay Area and surrounding areas in Northern California. I also have a Southern California Location Guide if you'd be interested in doing a little travel. Speaking of travel, if you have any specific destinations or type of location in mind that is not featured on my Guides, let me know! I'm happy to do some research or scouting to find the perfect place to go for you.

How should I dress for my photoshoot?

Great question! Picking your outfits for a photoshoot may seem like an easy task that can be left until the last minute - but trust me, you'll regret this when the clothes you imagined wearing doesn't fit right or look as good as you thought it would in your head! To ease that headache, I've compiled a list of some of my best tips for choosing what to wear. It goes over everything from patterns and colors to mobility of the clothing items. Receive my exclusive Styling Guide upon booking!

When can I expect to see the photos?

For weddings, I send a Sneak Peek Gallery of 50+ edited photos within 72 hours of the wedding date. I know you and your partner (plus your friends and family for that matter) will be dying to see the photos as soon as possible, which is why I send that sneak peek of some highlights from your day! The Final Gallery takes 5-7 weeks to be delivered, but the quantity and quality of the photos will prove to be well worth the wait.

For regular sessions including engagements, couples, and maternity, I send a Sneak Peek Gallery of 10+ edited photos within 72 hours of the session. For the same reason, seeing these sneak peeks will give you a taste of the amazing photos to come, and give you a chance to ask for any tweaks to the editing. The Final Gallery takes 2-3 weeks to be delivered.

How many photos can I expect to receive?

The number of photos delivered depends on each package option. Under the "Investment" tab on this website, click on the type of session you are looking for to see all the details of what you can expect to receive from each package option.

How do I receive the photos?

I deliver all my photos by sending over an online, password protected gallery to your email address. From there you can view the gallery, share it with your loved ones, and easily download the photos by plugging in the 4 digit PIN I provide you with. This online gallery is convenient, private, and a beautiful way to view your edited images. The photos will all be delivered in a high-resolution, JPEG format.
